Volunteering in the community at Salford
We’ve been busy recently supplying our Deaf Alerter and Refuge Alerter systems to the University of Salford's new Thrive Building (part of the University's Campus Connectivity Plan - the biggest ever development of its teaching and public spaces).
Contractors and suppliers involved in the project, working on behalf of NG Bailey, were encouraged to give something back to the local Salford community – and recently, our Sales Consultant Laura Page spent two days volunteering with Salford Loaves & Fishes Limited.

What is Salford Loaves & Fishes?
It’s an organisation that supports people experiencing homelessness, poverty, hardship and social exclusion - providing a safe and welcoming place where people can access food, support, advice and opportunities to help them move forward.
The charity also runs a fantastic range of workshops and activities, helping people develop new skills, build confidence and take steps towards employment and a more positive future.
Laura explained:
“During my two days, I had the opportunity to get involved in lots of different activities, but most importantly, spend time getting to know and engaging with the people accessing the centre and hearing some of their stories and experiences.
“A huge thank you to the whole team for making me feel so welcome. A special thank you to Craig, the Operations Manager, who works incredibly hard to keep everything running smoothly.
“It was a really rewarding and insightful couple of days, and I’m very grateful to have had the opportunity to play a small part.”
