Wireless EVC systems | Site emergency alarm systems | Deaf fire alarm systems
Our history
We supply wireless EVC systems — as well as fire alarm systems for Deaf and Hard of Hearing people.
We’re proud to have been saving lives through technology for over 20 years.
The Alerter Group story started in 1988, with the inception of our first product, Deaf Alerter. Next, we launched our wireless EVC system, Refuge Alerter, and our Site Alerter product.
Today, we’re proud to have our products installed in thousands of buildings up and down the UK, helping millions of disabled, Deaf and Hard of Hearing people in the process.
Video transcript:
Chris Haseldine, CEO: “Hi, I’m Chris Haseldine, CEO of Alerter Group. Welcome to our Head Office.
At Alerter Group we design, manufacture and install radio-based systems to help evacuate people in emergency situations.”
Hayley Bradley, Operations Director: “I’ve been working here for 19 years.
I work with the best people, all working really hard to produce a great product with excellent customer service.”
Chris Haseldine: “Our systems are bought to hopefully be used infrequently. Customers need to know they’ll work in the moment of their greatest needed. That nught be a fire evacuation or another emergency situation, potentially when someone’s life is in danger.
Deaf Alerter is the market-leading system for alerting Deaf people to fire alarms and other important messages.
Refuge Alerter helps physically disabled people evacuate from multi-storey buldings.
About five years ago, we launches our Site Alerter system. This is a flexible call and evacuation system using ATEX-certified products. It’s used in high risk environments such as nuclear facilities, petrochemical sites, weapon testing and storage facilities.
We have a lot of people who have been with the company for a long time, and actually our average employee, despite us recruiting people every year, has been with us over eight years – and the feedback we regularly get from our customers is brilliant.”
Hayley Bradley: “Just last week I had an email from a customer saying how great our engineers had done on their installation.”
Chris Haseldine: “I’m so proud of the journey we’ve been on.”
