Disabled Refuge Point

Refuge Outstation

What is a Disabled Refuge Outstation?

A disabled refuge outstation, sometimes referred to as a disabled call point, is a part of a full disabled refuge system or as part of an Emergency Voice Communication System. They are typically mounted in disabled refuge areas or points, used in the event of an emergency by a disabled person needing assistance in the event of a building evacuation or emergency.

Our user-friendly disabled Refuge Outstations are designed to be used by people with both physical and sensory disabilities. When installed in disabled refuge areas they allow two-way communication with a Master station or PRC if assistance is required.

Features of our Disabled Refuge Outstation:

By installing a radio-based solution it eliminates the need for costly and disruptive cabling and provides the unique ability to add a portable, hand-held refuge communicator into the system.

This allows building management or fire marshalls to communicate with disabled refuge locations while on the move, or when their location is potentially compromised.
